đ Todayâs Scripture:
âNo one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.â
âMatthew 6:24 (NIV)
đ Context:
In Jesusâ Sermon on the Mount, He challenges the crowdâs loyalty and motivation. This wasnât a random verse about moneyâit was a deeper teaching about where your heart truly belongs. Jesus knew many were torn between spiritual devotion and material ambition. He wasnât condemning moneyâHe was confronting what ruled the heart.
đŹ Reflection:
Many people claim to love God but live every day making decisions based on dollars, not direction. The pursuit of money can slowly become your master if youâre not carefulâshaping your thoughts, your relationships, even your integrity. And the danger is it happens silently. Thatâs why Jesus said you canât serve both. One will lead you, the other will use you.
Godâs not asking you to be brokeâHeâs asking you to be balanced. Let money be your servant, not your master. When God leads, provision follows. Keep your spirit clean, your hands honest, and your decisions aligned with purposeânot pressure. Master the missionâand the Master will handle the means.
đđœ Prayer:
Lord, cleanse my heart from hidden idols. If Iâve allowed money to shape my decisions more than Your voice, show me how to put You first again. Let me serve You freely, without divided loyalty. Make me rich in integrity, peace, and purpose. In Jesusâ Name, Amen.
