đ Scripture (NIV):
âDo not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.â â Matthew 7:6
đ Context:
Jesus warned His followers about wasting what is holy on people who had no respect for Godâs truth. It was a call to protect what is valuable and to practice discernment.
đŹ Reflection:
Saying no can feel unkind, but sometimes it is the most spiritual thing you can do. God has entrusted you with blessings, talents, and resourcesâpearls that should not be wasted on selfish demands or empty causes. Your yes carries weight, so guard it wisely.
When you learn to say no to manipulation and laziness, you say yes to stewardship and purpose. Ask God to help you discern the difference between a true need and a scheme.
đđœ Prayer:
Lord, sharpen my discernment so I may clearly see the difference between those Youâve called me to help and those who would misuse my kindness. Teach me the holy power of no, so that my yes will always glorify You. Amen.
