š āAnd when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.āĀ ā Matthew 6:7ā8 (NIV)
š Context:
Jesus taught the crowds during the Sermon on the Mount, correcting the false idea that long or fancy prayers were more powerful. He emphasized that God listens to the heart, not the performance.
š¬ Reflection:
Sometimes people feel intimidated about prayer, believing they need perfect words, long speeches, or deep knowledge. This can keep many from praying at all, as if they arenāt āgood enough.ā
But prayer is a conversation with your Father. God already knows your needsāHe just wants your honesty and presence. Speak simply, and trust Heās listening.
šš½ Prayer:
āFather, teach me to pray with simplicity and honesty. Remove my fear of saying the wrong words, and remind me that You know my heart. Let my prayers be conversations filled with trust and love. In Jesusā Name, Amen.ā
