📖 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” – Luke 22:42 (NIV)
📚 Context:
In Gethsemane, before His arrest, Jesus prayed with deep anguish, surrendering His will to the Father’s plan of salvation. This was the ultimate example of obedience through surrender.
💬 Reflection:
Even Jesus wrestled with the weight of surrender, showing us it’s not always easy. But His prayer reminds us that true purpose comes from aligning with God’s will, not resisting it.
When you surrender your plans, you make space for God’s greater plan, a plan that leads to eternal impact, even if it requires sacrifice in the moment.
🙏🏽 Prayer:
“Lord, teach me to say, ‘Not my will, but Yours be done.’ Help me to surrender my plans, my comfort, and my control to walk fully in Your purpose. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
