đ âThe Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.â â Psalm 23:1â2 (NIV)
đ Context:
David wrote this psalm as a shepherd who knew what it meant to guide, feed, and protect sheep. Israel often faced seasons of famine, enemies, and grief, yet David declared confidence that Godâs care was enough to cover every need. He described God not just as a provider, but as One who restores peace and leads His people into places of rest and renewal.
đŹ Reflection:
Lack makes us question Godâs provision, lies make us question His truth, and loss makes us question His goodness. Together they can drain our hope and convince us weâre forgotten.
But God fills every gap. His Word confronts lies, His presence comforts loss, and His provision sustains lack. Even in seasons of shortage and sorrow, a faithful Shepherd walks beside you, ensuring you donât collapse where Heâs leading you through.
đđœ Prayer:
Lord, when lack threatens my peace, remind me You are my supply. When lies confuse me, let Your truth be louder. When loss weighs heavy, carry me with Your comfort. Help me walk with courage, knowing nothing can remove me from Your care. In Jesusâ Name, Amen.
